Whether you're a seasoned user or someone who’s interested in the OLAC tools and resources for the first time, there will be something for everyone!
Featured Keynote: Cathy Lassiter, Author, Everyday Courage for School Leaders
Courageous Leadership: Empowering and Inspiring Action for All
Successful school leaders are bold and courageous. They activate moral, empathetic, intellectual, and disciplined courage in situations that require courageous action in service of student well-being and learning. Courageous leaders act on evidence, create cultures of collective accountability, take risks, and build trust. During this keynote, leaders will learn about the impact of courageous leadership on organizational health and performance, from the district office to the classroom. They will learn how to build a courageous mindset using three key strategies, and how to leverage courage as a school improvement strategy. Participants will leave the session with a renewed passion and purpose for the Ohio Improvement Process (OIP) by confronting brutal facts, and fearlessly focusing on what matters most to student learning.
Luncheon Remarks: Brian McNulty
Districts, the District Leadership Team (DLT), and School Improvement
During his luncheon remarks, Dr. McNulty will address the roles and responsibilities of the district and District Leadership Team (DLT). After 10 years of the Ohio Improvement Process (OIP), educators have learned a lot about what helps schools to improve. However, many schools still aren’t making the progress they could with better leadership and support from their districts and DLTs. Discover how to address the challenges and make recommendations for progress.
